Holguin will develop, from April 2 to 4, a wide program of activities to celebrate the 466 anniversary of foundation of the Hato of San Isidoro de Holguín.
Painting competitions, handcraft workshops, exhibitions, book sales, popular parties and fairs, among others, are included in the program.
The most relevant moment during the celebrations will be a homage to Juan Arrom Gonzalez, aimed at promoting the Latin American literature and pay tribute to the Holguin intellectual.
The homage includes a wreath-laying ceremony at the birthplace of Arrom in Holguin, followed by the opening of a photo exhibition about the prominent intellectual, in the Iberoamerican Center of this Cuban city.
On August 4, at 4:30 pm in the House of the Lieutenant Governor, members of the wine manufacturing club of Holguin will present the wine 466, as a gift to our city.
The gala for the celebration of the 466 Anniversary of the foundation of the City of the Parks, will take place April 4th in front of the “Origenes” Mural.
